Keep the wick trimmed to ¼". Your candle isn't supposed to be a flamethrower!
Use a proper candleholder that is heat-resistant and can catch any drips. And your husband is
not the drip we're referring to.
Don't burn your candle near flammable objects or in drafty areas.
Keep lit candles out of reach from Billy and Fluffy - aka children and pets.
To extinguish the flame, dunk the wick into the melted wax pool. Exclaim with a loud "Sha-ZAM!" when the flame goes out. Straighten the wick to be ready for the next use.
And no leaving your candle alone when it's lit. That is seriously not smart.
Be nice to your beeswax:
Burn at
least one hour per inch of candle diameter. This will save your candle from ruin.
Gently fold in the edges of your pillar candles as they burn down. This is called 'hugging' your candle. Go ahead. Show your candle some love!
